Very clear and interesting explanation. My single largest position in my taxable portfolio is BX; just out of curiosity wonder which of the big 7 are best positioned for the near term?

Alex - you're coverage on SA has always been great. You're one of my favorite authors to read and you have helped me understand AAMs much better - and it has been quite a financial boon for me. Keep up the good work - I'm excited you have created a page with more frequent postings!

Thanks! Hopefully you have checked my scorecard - Brookfield is neither the only nor the best player. But they are better known due to incessant PR and hype. I had owned Brookfield for many years until replaced it with Apollo as my top holding in the segment.

Looks like you also were influenced by Keith's Brookfield short report? But did better with the swap to Apollo while I just reduced my exposure which resulted in the wrong outcome with history behind us.

Correct. I was influenced by the short report. He described BIP and it affected BAM only marginally. But BIP reporting was extremely misleading and since all BIP personnel works for BAM, it undermines one's trust in Brookfield's reporting and disclosures in general.
